my face is more simetrical but when i smile you can still see that something is wrong with my face, but i can close both my eyes really good.
I can’t smile at all….i can’t move my eyebrow…my eye doesn’t close all the way…it’s been three weeks…I feel like dying
I was diagnosed with Bells Palsy during my 3rd trimester last year on December 1st. My 1st anniversary is coming up with about 50% recovery. I still cannot move my mouth all the way or shut my eye completely.
I was just wondering if anyone had this problem for a long time (such as a year) and it still went away completely. I want to know what my chances are. I’m looking into reconstructive surgery but I don’t know how long I should wait.
I want my SMILE back!!!!!!!!!!
ok I have had bells for almost 4 weeks now. within the first two weeks my mouth/smile was back to normal and the ringing in my ear (affected side) became less. now 4 weeks into it im able to squint my eye and close it tightly. but it still does not blink completly and I still have an annoying but light ringing in my ear. my doctor said i should be patient and it will go back to normal soon. But im so annoyed i just want to be “normal” again. Can certain parts of your face go back to normal quciker than others?? any recommendations????
I think i might have it because my left eye is slightly droopy and my smile is crooked. When i smile my left cheek feels heavier and firmer than my right cheek. Is it something thats obvious when you have it or do you think i could have it and not have noticed it before?
I had Bells Palsy in 2003 and I lost muscle control of the right side of my face for about 8 wks. I completely recovered for the most part. A bit of a lazy eye that only I can notice. This year I’ve been experiencing reoccuring muscle spasms in the right side of my face. Kinda like it wants to come back. I’ve also been diagnosed with high blood pressure and I’m on medication that hasn’t lowered it past 177/114. I’ve been checking symtoms of a stroke and I seem to get all of them just not at the same time. I feel okay so could the Bells Palsy just trying to come back and I’m thinking it’s a stroke? Or is it signs of a stroke? Do I call 911 even if I feel okay but experiencing like symptoms at that moment? My blood pressure has been high for at least 18 months. I’m
36 yrs old. 5’2″ and I weigh about 135#. The highest my blood pressure has been is 202/158. I experience numbness in my right arm and hand I get blurred vision and slurred speech it feels like my equal liberum is messed up
at times the past couple days I’m getting a sharp pain in my right ear. When I had the Bells Palsy the muscles on the right side of my face didn’t work. I had to tape my eye closed to sleep I couldn’t smile right had to use a straw on my left side to drink anything.
i recently got diagnosed w/ bells palsy about 2 weeks ago. im 23 and although my face and smile and everything is pretty much back to normal (thank God) i still have that pain behind my ear. it wasnt that bad till i ran out of steroids the doc gave me. the pain is so bad all the time but it comes and goes. its worse at night when i try to sleep. i havent gotten any sleep the past few nights and sometimes the pain is so bad i actually cry. does anyone know what i can do to bring the pain down some? and how long this last? i have no health insurance so i cant keep going to the doctor. and ive been taking bc powder non stop which is not good either im sure. thank you for your help!!!
i went to the doc and got diagnosed w/ bells palsy i thought it was a ear infection at first… so no its not an ear infection or herpes… and the pain comes w/ bells palsy i know that much for sure i was just wondering how long until the pain goes away
I can at least close my eye on its own (almost all the way). I can chew fine, and I can taste the food. However, when I smile it definitely shows, I have no movement in my cheek or forehead….frozen….its been a week and a half. I took the steroids and the antiviral already.
I am very down and depressed
