My dog was prescribed Prednisone for cancer, but it caused him adverse side effects so we only administered a couple of the tablets to him. Now I have been prescribed Prednisone for Bell’s Palsy. Are there any significant risks of my using the leftover 20mg Prednisone tabls since it is the same drug used in humans?
Thursday afternoon my face went numb, last night i went to urgent care to get checked out. Come to find out i have Bell’s Palsy. The DR gave me prednisone (steroids) and Acyclovir (antiviral). I’m very active and work out just about everyday. I neglected to ask him if that was something i should avoid while having this palsy and on these meds. I’ve done some research and can’t come up with anything. Anyone know?
I was told that I have Bell’s Palsy a couple days ago. I have read some information online about it, but can anyone tell me if its normal to have a migraine headache with this? That just won’t go away. And I am having a very difficult time sleeping. I know that I get migraines if I don’t sleep, but I just can’t sleep. I am currently taking Prednisone for the Bell’s Palsy and Viciodin for the migraine. Does anyone know how I could have gotten this? I don’t have any of the causes listed online. Is this something I have to worry about my kids getting? Any other information anyone has, woud greatly be appreciated. I’m sorry if I’m rambling on, I’m sooo tired. Thanks for any help you can give me.
So I have Bell’s palsy and I was prescribed Prednisone and Valtrex, Lately since I started taking them I feel very depressed and just down right sad and sorry for myself. I’m not usually like this and I just wonder if its a side effect, also it could be the fact that my face is all messed up and I just don’t feel like anything has been going right this year.
I also heard that the Prednisone will make you gain weight and I have been working really hard to loose weight so will it just increase my appitie or will it add weight by itself?
the doctors say i have bells palsy and my right side of my face feels unmovable. i cant wrinkle my forehead,smile, or drink properly. I also think this started from a wisdom tooth that is starting to come in on my lower right back tooth because my jawline and neck hurts and i see a small tooth pocking out. what is the problem someone please help…should i wait and take the medications for the bell palsy or get the tooth extracted

I’m currently dealing with Bells Palsy. I am taking Prednisone as prescribed by a doctor. Recently, I have felt spasms in the affected area (right side of face) most noticeably in my eye and area near the corner of my mouth. The twitching isn’t noticeable enough for others to see, but I feel it constantly. Does it relate in any way to the Bells Palsy phase I’m currently going through?
If I was diagnosed with Bell’s Palsy last week and the prednisone is starting to really improve the condition, there is no possibility that it could have been a stroke or tumor, right? Otherwise the prednisone wouldn’t really be taking effect this fast?
