he has had this palsy for three months,the only visible signs now are the left side of the upper lip is slow and the left eye looks normal but he says it is blurry at times and hurts,,what do we do…………………..Mark
I had Bell’s Palsy on the left side of my face when I was 12 years old. I’m 18 now and for the past 3 years now my left eye will twich for a couple of days then stop for while, then it’ll start again. Now this is like nonstop twiching. It’ll do it for hours straight and it’s really annoying when i’m trying to read and watch t.v. Can the Bell’s Palsy be a cause for this?
I think i might have it because my left eye is slightly droopy and my smile is crooked. When i smile my left cheek feels heavier and firmer than my right cheek. Is it something thats obvious when you have it or do you think i could have it and not have noticed it before?
has anyone here had it ? its been 3 days im off the meds after a week of taking it and although i see improvement im still not 100 percent as i see it mostly when i spit or try and drink off a bottle and my left eye doesnt wink when i want it to…….. i know sometimes it takes longer then just the time your on the meds but i was wondering how long it took most of you guys here ?
should i go see the doctor again and ask for more meds ?
to answer some of the answers some of you gave ive unfortunetly had it 2-3 times before…its quite annoying …… i know it takes a while to fully recover , thats why i dont know if i should wait a few more days to see the doctor since its only 3 days im off meds
as for what pills im taking , to be honest i dont know he said it was some infection/virus and gave me the pills……….also just wondering does anyone think someones lifestyle has anything to do with it ?? how do you get this ? im sure theres no way to do it so you never get it again right ?
also to add to that …. unlike last times i got it , this time i felt it coming the night before and i never fully got it to get to 100 percent , even when i went to the doctor i could still of moved my left side but not 100 percent … so im hoping that should of made me get better sooner but maybe im just impatient
I recently got Bell’s Palsy. The short of it is that i can’t keep my left eye closed when i hit the water. Is there any sort of goggle that is safe to where while diving, and that won’t come off.
Are there any other suggestions?
I had Bell’s palsy when I was six. I couldn’t close my left eye, and it frightened my mother, so she went to the doctor and got it diagnosed. I am now 17 and for the past few days my face has simply gone numb at random times, usually around my cheek and on the left side of my chin. Could this be Bell’s palsy returning? Or do you know of anything else that could cause random facial paralysis?
