I had Bells Palsy on the left side of my face 3 years ago.. My dr told me it was because of an infected tooth. He gave me some meds and it went away about 3 weeks later. Well about 4 days ago I started to feel like I was getting Bells Palsy again, but this time on the right side of my face. I went into the dentist and he said that it could be that my bottom right wisdom tooth is growing sideways and pushing on my nerve… But I was doing a little research on Bells Palsy and it says that it can be caused by a cold or flu. Well about 2 weeks ago I had a sore throat and for some reason I build alot of wax in my ears.. My ear was hurting from the wax that was built up. Anyways, I went into the dr to make sure it wasn’t a stroke.. He said that it was Bells Palsy again. He didn’t do any test or anything. He sent me home with Amoxacilin.

I guess my question here is my face is slowly getting worse everyday.. Its not fully paralyzed but I can feel it getting worse day to day. Last time i got it my left side was completly unworkable. I can still work the right side a little. But I am having pain under my ear and in the back of my head. Just on the right side though. Not like a 10 on a pain scale its more like a 2.. Ya know when you sleep on ur head wrong and you wake up and it hurts all day long.. Thats how it feels but only on the right side. I was wondering if all those symtoms are normal with Bells Palsy. And if there is any test or anything I can do..

Help with Anxiety

I was recently diagnosed with Bell’s Palsy, after having the flu. I was given prednisone for 5 days and Vicodin. Along with the normal symptoms, I have also been suffering with a very sore face, neck, back and shoulders. Does this seem familiar to anyone?? In my case, I have a burning pain in my left eye, accompanied by a feeling of fullness on that side. Just a few details about me..Please answer the best that you can..

The One-Minute Cure

I’m 34wks now. So far I’ve had the flu and now I have temporary bells palsy on my face. I am extremely tired and weary. I have about 10wks of fmla left because I was on bed rest for 2wks. Also, my blood pressure goes up about every 2 days. Any ideas? Thanks.

Anxiety and Panic Attacks

My employer is giving me a really hard time lately. I am 34wks pregnant. I live in NYC. So far, I’ve been really sick, morning sickness, flu, bells palsy, high blood pressure, etc. However, I am not considered high risk or complicated just that I’ve been getting sick throughtout the belly. They’ve asked me to have my dr update my FMLA forms 3 times and now they’re asking for a 4th because my paperwork does not say anything about me being high risk or complicated so I should not be out of the office if I’m feeling sick or whatever because nothing in my paperwork supports the fact that I can just wake up one morning and feel horrible. I don’t know what else to do or what they want. It’s getting too stressful to run back to my dr everytime they need more stuff.
