I was just diagnosed with Bell’s Palsy 3 days ago. I am experiencing slight twitching trembling sensations in my lips nose and cheek. I havent had my week check up as advised by the ER doctor. Just wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this and if maybe its a good sign that my nerve is sending signals to my face.
I am on acyclovir and prednisone. I plan on starting acupunture next week, just have to figure out what my insurance will cover. I have been doing warm moist compresses with chamomile tea.

Ok so my mouth is so dry right now and I have a little discomfort on the left side of my face like it’s a little swollen. I had bells palsy about a year ago could it be that coming back?? Also I just had my 4 wisdom teeth taken out like 2 weeks ago they were not impacted but infected … I don’t know it that has anything to do with it I suffer from anxiety so I don’t know what to think !!!!!!!!!!!! I’m going to the dentist 2marrow morning.

I have improved, but not 100 % back to the way I was. My balance has been affected. So walking is not the same. I have had MRI’S and cat scans on my head. They can’t give me a diagnosis, except that I didn’t have a stroke they thought also that I have bells palsy but I didn’t think that it also affected your arm and leg, justb face and eye. Yeast Infection No More

It is still kinda of numb and heavy feeling. i have made an appt. with my Dr. so I’ll be seeing him but I just wonder if this has happened to any one else. I see a neurologist and he said my MRI was normal could an MRI change in like 3 months? I have no clue. Its just weird that my face feels this way. I have gotten every comment from a stroke which it wasn’t to bells palsy, which it could be or even still ms. I am worried can some one give me some in site?

My b.f had bells palsy on the right side of his face 2 years ago, now he has it on the left side of his face. He had a knot in the back of his neck for a couple weeks that went away right before this current bells palsy accured. Does anyone have any suggestions on what could have caused this? The doctors where we live suck.

i was diagnosed with bells palsy last week it has been hell and my boyfriend is not being very understanding. I was looking for a job when all of this started and now i have had to put that on hold my eye is killing me my left side of my face hurts like i was in an accident i cannot eat because the taste in my mouth is so disgusting i cannot talk i used to have the best smile and that is what he loved about me and my world just seems real bad right now and I am really really tired does anyone else feel like they are really tired or have the facial pain? i had bells palsy two years ago and it cleared up within a few weeks.(it is when half of your face becomes temporarilly paralysed) ! it was not a nice experience and now two years since i have had it my mouth musceles feel extremelly tight and i am really aware of my facial expressions in public also my smile is wonky and my lips shake alot when i smile … is this the bells palsy? or something else? i am getting really depressed about it and now try not to smile incase my lips and face start to shake it makes me want to break down i just want to go back and be normal again.
