If the diagnosis is correct….yes it will pass. My sister had this. It did take several weeks to get back to normal though. About 2 months if I remember right.

Several years ago my mother had Bells Palsy. She was in total pain for a couple of weeks. Doctors don’t know what causes it. Some of them say it is a virus that attacks on top of an infection like a sinus infection.

We fed her soups and malted milk shakes for several weeks. mostly things she could sip from a cup or from a straw.

Yes, she got over it and mostly didn’t have any facial paralysis afterwards. When she got really tired tho, her eye would droop quite a bit.

I wish you a lot of luck getting over this.

It does take time. My friend got this after she had her baby also. Ask your doctor or get on the Internet. They have stretches you need to do. I guess it is some what unpleasant and maybe a little painful. But my friend did it and she is back to beautiful again. Don’t give up! You will be too!!

Don’t worry about it. It’s psychological in origin.

In fact, it’s easy to prove it’s psychogenic. Hypnosis will clear it up.

    So will biofeedback and acupuncture.

It will go away on its own eventually with no treatment whatsoever. My daughter had an attack that lasted five minutes. A friend of mine had it for a week. I have heard of longer-lasting attacks, but those are rare. If it lasts longer than two weeks, get psychotherapy.
