I was diagnosed with Bells palsy today and was wondering if anyone has an experiences with that?
humm
I have the numbness on the right side of the face with the pain behind the right ear. Ct scan showed fine and bloodwork. Was wondering if anyone knew of this and what do I have to look forward to?

it will go away. I’ve had it and my neighbor currently has it. it passes. no one knows much about it.
I have had 2 friends with this. There isn’t really anything medically that can be done. My friends were told that stress will make it worse or take it longer to go away. One of my friends used some homeopathic medicines and she felt they worked a little in time. I know both of them took extra vit. B and E. Good luck and I hope your gets better soon.
My brother-in-law had Bells Palsy. It went away, and even though I believe it can come back, it hasn’t. (It’s been years!) You’ll be fine!
A friend of mine had this after he had a dental procedure but it went away in about a month.
Is yours permanent? Is it reversible?
My cousin has bells palsy. According to his Dr, it could take anywhere from 6 months to a few years for the symptoms to go away. They can’t tell what causes it, it just happens. He had to train himself to talk out of the side of his mouth (he works in sales) so not he’s to the point that if you just met him you would never know he has it.
Bells palsy also has different degrees of severity. Check out WEBMD for more information.
I hope you get better soon.
I have had Bells Palsey since 1998. My right side is still numb and my right eye droops..but my speech is fine. Yours might go totally away. Mine didn’t..after therapy and steroids. Guess I just wasn’t lucky. But I tell ya what..if this is the worse thing that ever happens to me.I will consider myself very lucky.
My grandfather was diagnosed with Bells palsy. It just came up out of nowhere. The whole right side of his face went numb, where he could not move any part of it. It went away after a month or two, and now he is back to normal. No side effects that I’ve heard of, however I have not personally had it.
A guy I work with had it. Depending on how long you have it, your face might begin to droop like his did. But it will go back to normal when the palsy goes away (he looks totally like his old self again now)
My daughter in her 7 months of pregnacy had bells palsy she looked like she had a stroke scared me to death , But let me tell you it went away, and my son in law (not her husband) also had it for a couple of weeks, it also went away try not to worry to much you may never have another attack I hope it goes away soon
It might last for many weeks. It can resolve by itself very slowly. Sometimes things like a fan blowing or cold air conditioning can make it feel more uncomfortable for you, so watch for that and take care of yourself.
