I had Bells Palsy on the left side of my face 3 years ago.. My dr told me it was because of an infected tooth. He gave me some meds and it went away about 3 weeks later. Well about 4 days ago I started to feel like I was getting Bells Palsy again, but this time on the right side of my face. I went into the dentist and he said that it could be that my bottom right wisdom tooth is growing sideways and pushing on my nerve… But I was doing a little research on Bells Palsy and it says that it can be caused by a cold or flu. Well about 2 weeks ago I had a sore throat and for some reason I build alot of wax in my ears.. My ear was hurting from the wax that was built up. Anyways, I went into the dr to make sure it wasn’t a stroke.. He said that it was Bells Palsy again. He didn’t do any test or anything. He sent me home with Amoxacilin.

I guess my question here is my face is slowly getting worse everyday.. Its not fully paralyzed but I can feel it getting worse day to day. Last time i got it my left side was completly unworkable. I can still work the right side a little. But I am having pain under my ear and in the back of my head. Just on the right side though. Not like a 10 on a pain scale its more like a 2.. Ya know when you sleep on ur head wrong and you wake up and it hurts all day long.. Thats how it feels but only on the right side. I was wondering if all those symtoms are normal with Bells Palsy. And if there is any test or anything I can do..

Help with Anxiety

I first got bells palsy in April..everything is back to normal now it was according to doctors a light case. the only thing is I still have some trouble with my left eye it just feels weird. But what I have noticed is that sometimes I have a little pain on th side that i had it on..especially on the cheek bone..and when I dont get enough sleep or im tired thats when I feel it most. I dont know if its just my nerves getting to me..because I was recently on a one month vacation and I didnt feel it as often. Also, Every day I massage my face and do facial expressions to check if i’m not getting bells again..i know im over reacting…and thats what people tell me..but it was just very horrible getting this..and i dont want to get it again…what can i do to just get my mind off of it and move on?? and has anyone also have those little side effects???

Help with Angina

Thursday afternoon my face went numb, last night i went to urgent care to get checked out. Come to find out i have Bell’s Palsy. The DR gave me prednisone (steroids) and Acyclovir (antiviral). I’m very active and work out just about everyday. I neglected to ask him if that was something i should avoid while having this palsy and on these meds. I’ve done some research and can’t come up with anything. Anyone know?

i have had my bell’s palsy for over a year (12/09/05)…and it basically has almost completely paralyzed my right side of my face…i can move that side a little bit (not even halfway up) when i smile…but I still cannot blink really and i still cannot really close that side of my mouth or move food around. anybody have it out there and know if it will stay permanently? most sites say it will stay permanently basically the rest of my life if it hasn’t gone away within a few months. doctors don’t help…no medicines really for it except the steroids, which i didnt’ take quickly enough at the beginning…and basically vitamins are the only other solution out there to ease it…please respond!

Fat Loss 4 Idiots

Okay, last week I was diagnosed with Bell’s Palsy from stress on the right side of my face. My face has been getting better but today I hit the right side of my head pretty hard on a cabinet and ever since then I have been pretty dizzy and my face feels like it is going the other way. Instead of loosening it feels like it is going comatose again.

Can hitting your head when you have this disorder affect the recovery process or is it just in my own mind? I know that sometimes your mind plays tricks on you and I don’t want to make more of it than it is. I’m only 21 so I really have no idea what is going on or anything like that.

Please help me out.

Half my face is droopy….I am already short and bald…the only assett I had is my attractive face….and now it may be permanently damaged (I pray to God that it isn’t). I don’t want to be shallow but I can’t help it.

I just want to be able to smile and look at people normally…I am single, lonely, my heart hurts, and this just makes things harder….another strike against me.

Just before this happened, I had all kinds of things that were happening for me in regards to my business….now they all have to be put on hold, and may be lost.

I am angry, too. I feel like “WHY ME?”. 1 in 5000 chance of getting it. I swear, I feel like there is a higher power, put its main goal is to just **** me over…I never get a damn break..and stuff just gets harder…feel like I am paying off Karmic debts or something, and I am just destined to suffer. But I do try hard to live right and at peace, but this type of bullshit happens.
