I have been taking Effexor for about a month and a half and I woke up with bells palsy last week. The “rare” side effects list facial paralysis as a problem. Has anyone else experienced or heard of this?

ive herd that herpes can cause bells palsy mine started Saturday and ive been to doctors today and she could not find any sign or herpes but ive been given steroids and anti virals i take 12 steroids an 5 antivirals per day. but today my girlfriend told me that she has a sore on the inside of her mouth could this possibly be the cause of my bells palsy and should i get myself checked at a std clinic and tell my girlfreind to do so. please repy i need help.
i’m a 17 year old senior and 4 weeks ago i was diagnosed with bells palsy. Meaning the right side of my face is paralyzed and i have to wait for the nerves to grow back. I was wondering if i masturbated would that make it worse, make it better, or do no harm? Please help me and what can i do to speed up healing
is it likely that bells palsy would last 3 years long? Or is my face just crooked now? When i look at pictures of my younger self it isnt like that but now it is.
well let me start with saying she has bells palsy and the right side of her face is all dropy and she talks out of one side of her mouth and she cant blink one eye this is on the same side of her face. and she has really bad mood swings and she was tested for lymes and other similar things but they all were negative she is only seven and me and my mom are worried it is a brain tumor and the pediatrician wants us to send her to a neurological doctor to have an MRI……………..
if anyone has had something or knows someone who this happened to please tell me what you think it could be and what the outcome was. please give as much details as possible. Thanks sorry about my grammar
I am 28 and i just got bells palsy yesterday i was wondering if anyone has experienced this and wondering how long it lasted. what was your recovery rate and what treatments have you tried, any unsuccessful or any successful treatments i.e. chinese remedies etc. Any info would be extremely helpful!

I still have full muscle control. My doctor gave me medicine for shingles and Bell’s palsy. Also, I tested negative for lyme disease. I go to a neuroligist on Tuesday…..
How do you know? I would like more than just personal opinions, if you have some sort of sources or references, I would really appreciate it.
I have Bell’s Palsy and would like to recover quickly, however I have my urges. Don’t know if masturbation/sex will slow down my recovery. Thank you.
